Why I am a future BOSS!!

My trip back to the Philippines was really great for me! It was great personally and professionally also! I know now why I am the way I am!! Why I have a strong character for business and why I’m always “caring”. I haven’t been back to the Philippines for over 12 years and the last time I went there was for my grandfather’s death.

When I got to see all my family, from both sides of my family; I see how much of a business person they are. They own a lot of business out there. Most of them are good business and some are bad. Bad meaning morally bad, but I see them making a good amount of money still. One of my uncles owns a company and is so well off, he hardly works anymore. The business just works for him now. All he does is go to the gym and hang around the coffee shop. One of my young cousins out there owns piggery and a karaoke bar! He seems to be doing pretty well for him and his family! From seeing all that, I now see why I am hungry everyday to succeed! It’s just in me!! Its not just one day, I want to do start a business. It’s been in my family line for a while. One of my uncle said it doesn’t matter what kind of business you have, as long as it is successful. That is how you will get respected around your communities. If you love what you do, being stressed out is easy!

So, from the last time I visited Manila; it as grew and changed so much. Just going out around town was crazy! The hip hop scene is pretty big out there. I was able to go to the Chris Brown/Rihanna concert and there was over 70k people watching the show and another 10k outside listening to the show. It’s crazy how music can grow all over and music is pretty much the national language of the youth. The clubs out there was cracking also! Club Embassy was one of the nicest clubs I’ve been too. It can shut down most of the clubs in SF. When you think of a third world country, you think of a piece of shit country, but you can hardly say that about Manila. Don’t get me wrong, there are still parts of Manila where you won’t bare to walk the streets on. But more than half of the area, you can pretty much walk and go around. There are a lot of Phil-am and people from other countries moving to the Philippines. Your dollar does go a long way out there! I did get sick out there, but who doesn’t from what everybody tells me. I never got so sick in my life and felt like shit also! Overall, I had a great time out there and got to know myself a little bit more. I was able to work on some business there also! I do plan on coming back sometime early next year!! Watch out!! My international take over is in place!! Haha!

Going to the motherland to make some dough!

I will be going to the Philippines on Wednesday!! One side of me is excited to go and the other is scared to go!! I'm will be out there for business meetings and looking to venture new opportunities! I have set up some meetings with artist buyers out there! I hope everything works out fine!!

I haven’t been to the Philippines in over 10 years! Last time I was there, I was only 15 years old. It’s going to be a little scary going there. I know that most of the people there in Manila are Americanize, but there are still those other people. I’m going to be going there with my friend/business partner. He’s expecting me to make all the contacts and make things happen. He’s putting a lot of pressure on me, but I love pressure and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Many people believe in what I do, and sometimes I don’t believe in myself! Half of the things I do, I’m winging it! Yes! It’s hard to believe, but I just come up with stuff!

So we’ll see what I get out of this trip!!

Past, Present, Future!

This past few months and weeks have gone so fast!! I got a lot of things going on!! I can't believe that I've done alot already... well actually I can believe it!! cause I'm making things happen!!
"Make things happen" has been my motto for the past few years! Being patience doesn't seem to work out all the time! You gotta go get it!!

So Nov 23rd, started E-40's wake it up tour!! It was a big learning experience for me. Just as far as putting on a tour! A lot behind the scenes work to make this tour look good! I'm just to working with a lot of different artist and making sure they are taken care of, but working 4-7 different artist at the same time!!! It was killing me. I barely slept and I was pretty much running the show. Good thing I have partners to do their part to make it look good! Handling travel alone was stressful!

I have my hands in so many cookie jars, sometimes I can't keep up! but I love the stress! I have my hands in booking artist, setting up tours, Donnie Klang, Day 26, Street Cred MG, and The League.

This next two to three weeks is going to be crazy for me. I have a lot of projects going on, and i'm going to be traveling to the Philippines. Wake it up tour, Kevin Rudolf, Frankie J, Kardinal Offishall, and Bobby Valentino are all gonna happen in different cities, while I'm out of the country. I have a strong core of people around me and I know they will handle it all!

So I'm planning to go to the Philippines for about 10 days to meet up with event producers out there. I hope this trip will be a positive one and be able to get a lot of networking out there. I'm gonna love the partying out there, but it's a business trip that needs to be handled!

I can't wait for this year to end!! cause 2009 is my year to get things done! Lets just keep it at that!! I have a lot of goals that I'm setting for 2009!! I'm going to start quick also, I'm not gonna wait till later on the year!! January/Feb!! is gonna be a busy month!!

I'm going to start writing on this atleast 2-3 times a month!
